SNOW BALL, NATIONAL TOUR AND OTHER VARIOUS THINGS

Hi everyone and welcome to yet another new article of the Bathory Gazette. We have many things to discuss so join us as we do so.
First off, the Bathory Gazette Team would like to apologize for worrying you so by abadoning the website for a while. The truth... we were all on vacation. Yes, it's the time of the year, Summer, that we take a break from the website and relax. Again, very sorry! But now, let's move on with some very good news!
Heather Brewer has surprised us with two new, fangtastic events! And now, here we are to present the latest news! **DRUM ROLL PLEASE!**
1. Heather Brewer has recently announced that she is launching a national tour for the early release of Eleventh Grade Burns, coming to a store near you February 4, 2010! The orignal release date was supposed to be early summer but I guess we all got our wish and now, it is being released earlier. Which only means her tour must take place in February! Don't worry, we have the full details. The tour is the week of February 8th to the 14th. Excited? Well, Heather needs your help! Visit her blog ( heatherbrewer.com/blog ) and post ideas on where she should go! (or, you can even post them here!)
2. Now for even more FANGTASTIC NEWS! Look at the title and you are in for a surprise. Yes, it's true! Heather Brewer is hosting a REAL Snow Ball! Here are all the details, brought to you by Heather Brewer herself:
"What: A prom-like dance in the theme of the Snow Ball from The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod. The entire place will be decorated in snow and ice, complete with a Vlad smiley ice sculpture. We’ll have a DJ and dance floor, munchies and drinks. Books will be available for purchase and Auntie Heather will hang out with you guys the entire party. There will be tons of contests and prizes – definitely worth the trip!
Where: Somewhere in Southeast Michigan – right now it’s looking like Grand Blanc, but it may end up in Detroit.
When: A Saturday in February 2010 (I’m firming up the details with my publisher now – going on tour that month limits my time). Time-wise, the party will be from 8pm EST to midnight EST.
Why: to celebrate the launch of ELEVENTH GRADE BURNS (which debuts on, I believe, February 4th) and to spend time with your fellow Minions.
Attire: You should think “prom” and then think “snow” or “ice” and dress accordingly. We’re aiming for semi-formal to formal, leaning heavier on the formal side, because it’s fun to dress fancy! It’s been asked if dressing in “Gothic aristocratic” type clothing (top hats, tails, and canes) is okay, and the answer is YES! If it’s fancy and dress-up, it’s perfect for this event.
Stuff to remember: There will only be 200 tickets made available for purchase (and no word yet on when they will be made available). You can buy as many as you like while they’re available, but once they’re gone, they’re gone. There is no minimum (or maximum!) age to attend the Snow Ball. Once you purchase a ticket, a formal invitation containing the party details will be sent to you with your ticket.
How much will a ticket cost?/Where can I buy a ticket?: This has yet to be determined, but I’m guessing around $20-$40 a ticket. I’ll set up a paypal deal once all the details are finalized. As soon as I know anything more, you’ll know!
Why can’t the Snow Ball be in Saint Louis/California/New Jersey/on Mars?: Because it can’t. I have my reasons for choosing Michigan, Minions – though I wish I could find a place that’s accesible to every one of you. However, that’s not likely. But, if you’re interested in hosting smaller Snow Balls where you live, you should talk to your local librarian. And send Auntie Heather plenty of pics!"
So, what do you think? We know that here at the Bathory Gazette Headquarters, we are very, very excited! We need feedback! POST COMMENTS NOW!
And don't forget to reccomend this site to all your fellow Minions! Goodbye for now and we'll see you next time on the latest Chronicles of Vladimir Tod news!

HEATHER BREWER ON TV! (WELL, AT LEAST IN ST. LOUIS)

We have some good news and bad news.
The good news: Heather Brewer had her own segment today on KMOV’s Great Day Saint Louis. The host seemed to really like her! Maybe her books will be well known now... especially since it was featured on the same segment as Twilight.....
The bad news: The show is only broadcasted and shown in St. Louis.
Any St. Louis minons out there? Tell us about it! Don't worry, fellow minons! We'll try to post the video later.

NEW FORUM FOR HEATHER BREWER

Fellow Minions,
It is what we've all been waiting for. A NEW FORUM! (cheers echo throughout the room)
Now, we just found out ourself, and, we don't know about you, but we LOVE it! There are some minor changes though, such as the titles of the boards. But other than that, there are many new features that are totally FANGTASTIC! For example, you now have your own profile, you now can know when people are online and, there are moderators. It seems like Heather Brewer has answered our wishes.
Lets get a discussion going here. How do you like the new forum?

FANGTASTIC NEWS (AND OTHER THINGS)

Hello, fellow minions. Once again, we are here to talk about the latest news on our beloved Chronicles of Vladimir Tod Series. First off, Heather Brewer has made her first new blog on her new website. Here it is:
Yes, there have been lots of changes going on here at heatherbrewer.com. New colors, new info, new look. I know many of you adored the last site – I did too! – but it was very much Vlad-focused and since Auntie Heather doesn’t just plan on writing about our favorite fanged boy for the duration of her career, it was time for something very “me”, that I could feature all of my works on. Whatcha think?
If you’re wondering, faithful Minions, where the forum is, just hang in there! It’s coming soon, I promise. For now, I hope you’ll hang out with me on the blog while my fabulous designer works out a few more kinks.
So how has the Minion Horde been, anyway? Auntie Heather has been fangtastic! This past week, you all made me a bestseller! TENTH GRADE BLEEDS was all over the Bookscan/Nielson lists, as well as the Barnes & Noble lists. Now, I know you’re asking yourself “did we do it? Will there be a Vlad movie now?” Well, there’s a heck of a lot better chance now than there was, Minions. Hopefully those rights will be picked up soon and we can see Mr. Tod on the big screen! Keep your fingers and fangs crossed, because you never know…
Oh, btw, if you’re anywhere near Saint Louis, you should come out to Barnes & Noble in West County Mall this Saturday to see me (and pick up Bling!). Deets on my Appearances page. See you there!"
What do you think? We, at the Bathory Gazette, are celebrating the news that Tenth Grade Bleeds has hit the best seller list. Maybe now we can get the movie we have been hoping for all along.
In other news, the new trailer for Tenth Grade Bleeds is officially out. I will try to post later on. Also, if you go on the link for the book on Barnes and Nobles, there is another awesome trailer that we thought was very impressive.
Check back frequently for more news. Until then, farewell.

NEW WEBSITE UP AND RUNNING

So, as you may or may not know, Heather Brewer's new website had a few kinks in the beginning. For example, the blog was messed up and alot of our favorite links were cut. But, as if the website team had heard our complaints, the website has been fixed. Time to do some serious exploring and check out all the new stuff.
Also, the layout for the blog has changed. First of all, she is no longer part of Blogger. Second of all, her new blog has the same lay out as her new website. Now, lets say, if you want to comment, all you have to do is scroll to the bottom of the page and type in what you want. The only downside is now you have to include more information (Name, E-mail, Website, etc.) I guess this is an upside for our website, since it might get more views but it is kind of a violation of our privacy. So now, fellow minions, check out the website yourself. And remember to comment!

NEW WEBSITE!?

Today, like any other day, I went to visit Heather Brewers website, to see what was up. But when I arrived, I was, well, flabbergasted. I fell off of my chair and when I came back up, I thought my eyes were decieving me. But, in fact, it was all true. Heather Brewer, like she had promised, has created an entirely new website. My guess is that the original design only fit for our beloved Chronicles of Vladimir Tod series. Now that she is coming out with a new series, Bloodbound, it must change. What do you think? Comment and lets have a full out discussion!
Here's the link for the new website! Check it out! :
In my opinion, I liked the old website (especially the minion bling/apperances page... looking at the new one just makes me shiver.)
